Eric Kim

Compositor

I’m a New York-based VFX Compositor with a deep-rooted passion for film and visual storytelling. With a BFA in Computer Art from the School of Visual Arts and several years of professional experience, I specialize in creating seamless, high-quality visual effects for feature films, episodic television, and digital content.

My journey into the world of VFX began with a love for cinema — not just watching movies, but breaking them down, studying their visual language, and understanding the craft behind every frame. That curiosity led me to pick up a camera, dive into post-production, and ultimately focus on compositing, where my technical precision meets my artistic eye.

Over the past few years, I’ve contributed to projects for major studios and streaming platforms. From photorealistic compositing and 2D/3D tracking to digital matte painting and roto work, I bring a full pipeline understanding to every shot. I thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with supervisors and producers to deliver clean, believable visuals that serve the story.

Whether it's creatures, crowd extensions, futuristic environments, or subtle beauty work, I approach every project with creativity, accountability, and a keen eye for detail.
